Mission Bay Kids' Park, Our Favorite Playground

Mission Bay Kids' Park, Our Favorite Playground

The Mission Bay Kids' Park is the best playground I have found to date. It is new, clean, gated, colorful, big and fun for all ages!

Prior to finding this playground, I had not spent a lot of time in the Mission Bay neighborhood but now we go there all the time. It is definitely a kid friendly neighborhood.

We usually drive there because it's too far to walk from our place. Metered street parking is pretty easy to find right in front of the park. (Except if there is a Giants game)

The park itself is large and is divided into two sections. One side for big kids and the other side is for toddlers. In between the two sides, there are picnic tables and tree sculptures.

There is also a small grassy area and they have a sand pit.

I love how bright and colorful the park is and that there are so many play zones for the kids to choose from.

Atlas usually goes for the grass and tree sculptures first then makes a stop at the sand pit and as soon as he sees the swings he runs to them. This kid will stay in a swing for 45 minutes at a time and gets furious when I take him out. He gets super relaxed and eventually falls asleep. (see evidence below)

The other thing I love about this park is that it is located near Cafe Reveille. I recommend getting an iced coffee or latte there and then walking over to the playground with your kiddo.

The park is located at 681 Long Bridge Street and Cafe Reveille is down the street at 610 Long Bridge St.

Enjoy!
